Tichina Arnold & Tami Roman Avoid Love—Sort Of!—In Trailer For BET+ Original Holiday Film ‘So Fly Christmas’

EXCLUSIVE: Tichina Arnold and Tami Roman are kicking off the holidays with the BET+ original movie So Fly Christmas and Deadline has your first look at the official trailer above. The Terri J. Vaughn-directed film is set to premiere on November 23.

From writer Clarence William IV, So Fly Christmas follows Wyvetta (Arnold), who loses her love on her favorite holiday when she is stood up at the altar on Christmas Eve. To show solidarity, Wyvetta’s best friend, Dione (Roman), suggests that the two of them renounce love. Things become complicated when Dione falls for a mild-mannered record store owner and tries to keep it under wraps.

Robert Christopher Riley, Laurissa Romain, Jackee Harry, Tommy Davidson and Michael Colya round out the cast.

“There is a huge appetite for genre storytelling within our community, and we saw a lack of holiday content centered around the Black experience in the marketplace. We intentionally set out to fill that gap, and are proud to offer original holiday titles featuring audience favorites like Jasmine Guy, Robin Givens, Tami Roman, Tichina Arnold, and Ms. Pat, both in front of and behind the camera. Their creative contributions, we believe, make our 12 original holiday titles even more special for our subscribers,” said Marvin Neil, VP Content Programming and Strategy BET+ in a statement to Deadline.

So Fly Christmas is executive produced by Summer Crockett Moore, Tony Glazer and Maureen Guthman; Devin Griffin and Jerry Leo for BET+; Lorisa Bates and Marvin Neil serve as co-executive producers.
Producers include Pierre Romain, Julie Solinger and Marc Johnson; John Baldasare, Noelle Broussard, Rene Rodriquez co-produce.
