FX on Hulu’s The Bear will dish up an all-new season to kick off summer. Season 2 already elevated the show with its numerous guest stars as well as the transition of the family sandwich shop into a fine dining establishment. Season 1 swept the first of two Emmys ceremonies this year, with the second hoping to follow in those footsteps.
Ayo Edebiri
In its second weekend in theaters, MGM and director Emma Seligman’s teen comedy Bottoms broke into the top ten films for the weekend (no. 7) on 715 screens, a major North America expansion from a 10-theater opening last week. An estimated $3 million gross for the three days, and $3.6 million for the four-day Labor Day
The Bear’s Ayo Edebiri will be joining ABC’s Abbott Elementary in a guest-starring role. Edebiri will play Ayesha Teagues, Janine’s (Quinta Brunson) sister on the hit Emmy-winning comedy series. Janine has spoken frequently of her sister throughout the series and the difficult relationship the two have had. Edebiri’s character will be introduced Wednesday, Feb. 8
