Channel 4 & Starz Drop Trailer for ‘The Couple Next Door’ Starring Sam Heughan & Eleanor Tomlinson

Channel 4 and Starz have dropped trailer for The Couple Next Door, the psychological thriller starring Outlander’s Sam Heughan and Poldark’s Eleanor Tomlinson.

Trailer gives a first glimpse at Evie ( Tomlinson) and Pete (Harry Potter’s Alfred Enoch), who move into an upscale neighborhood but soon find themselves in a world of curtain twitching and status anxiety. They find friendship in the shape of the couple next door, alpha traffic cop Danny (Heughan) and his wife, glamorous yoga instructor Becka (Jessica De Gouw), soon becoming sexually entangled in a way that will change their lives forever.

Deadline revealed the high-profile project for the British pubcaster and U.S. streamer earlier this year and has since broken the news that Hugh Dennis and Kate Robbins had joined the cast.

The Couple Next Door will premiere on Channel 4 in the UK and will be available on Starz in the U.S. and Canada, as well as Lionsgate+, the international streaming streamer in Latin America, including Brazil. Last weekend, Starz revealed it was shutting its UK operation as it lets 10% of staff go.

The Couple Next Door is produced by Walter Iuzzolino’s Eagle Eye Drama. Jo McGrath, Iuzzolino and Alison Kee are executive producers and the producer is Jen Burnet. It was commissioned for Channel 4 by Rebecca Holdsworth, Drama Commissioning Editor. Karen Bailey, EVP of Programming, is the executive overseeing The Couple Next Door for Starz. Filming took place earlier this year in Leeds and Belgium and specific transmission details will be announced very soon. Beta Film will internationally distribute the series.
