The Launch: Fashion News to Know This June

Who: India Mahdavi and Crosby Studios

What: Opening of “Project Room #14”

Where: Project Room in Paris

Why: With the Paris Summer Olympics rapidly approaching, India Mahdavi of the Project Room invited Harry Nuriev, founder of Crosby Studios, to create a new setting: one involving a ping-pong table. Nuriev took the idea of table tennis and re-imagined an entire space for it, seeking to address table tennis from a spatial and social perspective. The room, including the table and walls, are covered in reflective silver surfaces, and playing is free and for everyone—first come, first serve. The exhibition opens to the public on June 22 and runs until August 2.
