Kim Kardashian Was Intrigued By Notion Of Playing A High-Powered Divorce Attorney In Ryan Murphy Concept

Ryan Murphy, the American Horror Story creator, pitched the idea for Kim Kardashian’s own series while having dinner with her and her mother, Kris Jenner.

Kardashian appears on the 12th season of American Horror Story, called AHS: Delicate, in a role specifically written for her, opposite franchise favorite Emma Roberts.

On the heels of her breakthrough performance, Kardashian is getting her own scripted series, as Deadline reported. She is staying in business with AHS co-creator/executive producer Murphy for the project, described as a high-end, glossy and sexy adult procedural. It has landed at Hulu, home of hit reality series The Kardashians, with a big series commitment.

This marks the first series for Murphy under his new deal at Disney, with 20th Television, part of Disney TV Studios, producing.

Kardashian, whose acting deal is being negotiated, is poised to play Los Angeles’ most successful divorce lawyer and the owner of an all-female law firm in the legal drama, penned by Brothers & Sisters creator Jon Robin Baitz, writer of the buzzy upcoming installment of Murphy’s Feud: Capote Vs. The Swans, and Joe Baken.

Kardashian has experience in the law field, having married three times and passing the so-called “baby bar,” with plans to take its big brother in 2025. Not to mention she’s the daughter of Robert Kardashian, best known as part of O.J. Simpson’s dream team.

Kardashian has said that she and her divorce lawyer, Laura Wasserman, have formed a close bond over the years.

The Thursday, May 30 episode of The Kardashians flashes back and shows the trio discussing the potential for Kim to helm her own series with the help of Murphy.

Ryan envisioned a series where Kim would play the world’s “best, most expensive divorce lawyer.” She would lead an all-female firm.

Kardashian agreed that the premise was “on brand” and she was intrigued by the offer.

“I mean, there’s even so many fun moments with like Laura and I where I’m just like, ‘Don’t ever let me do this again!’” the reality star said. “Then the next [divorce], she would be like ‘Hi, you reminded me last time, don’t ever let you do this again.’”
